Damage from Blue Light Wavelengths and Prevention

Blue light has been the subject of many academic and research journals in the last twenty years. Blue light has been responsible for the initiation of virtually all oil types globally in foods that cause rancidity. In addition blue light has been studied for its adverse effect on sleeping patterns in European countries and the need for lamps that filter out the blue light wavelengths that damage these patterns. Now we have proof blue light is damaging our eyes from the devices we use in our daily lives.

Mercury Vapor Lamps in Food Supermarkets

An investigation lasting multiple months regarding food spoilage.  The method involved questioning random store management personnel concerning spoilage of food.

The results of this study were the fact those in middle management on the floor report that since installing non-diffused Mercury vapor lamps in their stores to get brighter lighting cheaper than incandescent the increase in food spoilage has increased.

Mercury Vapor Lamp Types and Wavelengths

The indigo band from 400 to 440 nanometers is strong and responsible for rancidity of foods through a free radical initiation reaction. UVITA SME 3811 (MAXGARD® Product Line is a key ingredient) solves this problem.

The fact that blue blockers are not commercial in this range puts this product into a different category.
